A collaborative study commissioned by Ford Fund, Scholars of Sustenance, Creative Migration (East) Foundation, and Creative District Foundation on Nang Loeng neighborhood to gain insights into a community at a crossroads.
Ford Fund identified Nang Loeng as the location to open their Bangkok community center, Ford Resource & Engagement Center. They were compelled to understand the needs of local community members in order to fill the center with stewards who would provide appropriate services. USL conducted a five-month study that employed a sensitive and personal approach to fully engage the residents. Interviews, workshops, and questionnaires were used to obtain meaningful data. USL produced a report designed to be easily turned into action plans by anyone and community center programming by stewards.
