Nang Loeng:
A People and Place Report
A collaborative study commissioned by Ford Fund, Scholars of Sustenance, Creative Migration (East) Foundation, and Creative District Foundation on Nang Loeng neighbourhood to gain insights into a community at a crossroads.
Ford Fund identified Nang Loeng as the location to open their Bangkok community centre, Ford Resource & Engagement Center. They were compelled to understand the needs of local community members to fill the centre with stewards who would provide appropriate services. USL conducted a five-month study that employed a sensitive and personal approach to engage the residents fully. Interviews, workshops, and questionnaires were used to obtain meaningful data. USL produced a report designed to be easily turned into action plans by anyone and community centre programming by stewards.
